Prevalence of Entamoeba Histolytica And Giardia Lamblia in Children in Duhok Province, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

Objective: Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia are common serious public health problems in children developing countries. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence these parasites among Duhok Province, Kurdistan region, Iraq.  Six hundred stool samples were collected from both sexes different age groups ages 2-12 years living city some nearby villages, who visited an outpatient clinic (Hevi Pediatric Hospital) Private Laboratories (Vin laboratory Sardam laboratory), Iraqi Kurdistan, during period June – November 2021.The examined microscopically by direct flotation methods for detection including lamblia. Results: 600 47.66% -15.55%, respectively.  The highest rate Amoebiasis Giardiasis found that origin drinking water tap at a 83.0% lower distilled 17.0%. This suggests gastrointestinal continue be concern areas where sanitation hygiene measures narrow. A significant difference shown between females males cases (Amoebiasis Giardiasis) P value > 0.05. In case infection higher than (69.9 %, 30.1%).) Also respectively (64.5%, 35.5%) statistically P<0.05. suggested two intestinal remain challenging wherever inadequate. conclusion:  Urgent steps, such as long-term control improvement personal practices, well sanitary conditions, must taken
